OD Consultancy Skills Programme - Seeking expressions of interest

This programme has been designed to challenge and develop senior healthcare leaders who facilitate transformational change in and across their system and organisations, often without power or authority. Using innovative, practically-focused and highly engaging learning techniques, it will enable individuals to embrace an ‘internal change consultant’ mind-set and enhance their transformational OD consulting skills.

Programme Context

As leaders of system and cross-organisational change and transformation within the health and care eco-system we increasingly find ourselves working outside our own organisations to support the transformation of care for patients and communities with teams of professionals from across a local health and social care systems, voluntary and private sectors. The Sustainability Transformation Planning (STP) process this year has underlined the importance of us learning how to work more effectively in this way.

We know that leaders working in this emergent and fast paced environment are increasingly expected to act as ‘transformational change consultants’ which involves transformative working across organisational boundaries at a local or regional system level and rarely having the traditional formal authority to act. There is also the balance between facilitating change within your own organisation and change that impacts on multiple organisations and the complex politics and relationships that form part of this work. These system transformation agendas require us to build on our OD transformational skills and develop and hone new skills to challenge, influence and lead the significant transformation required over the next few years.

If this describes the situation you find yourself in, then you should consider this programme. It will provide you with an intensive development environment designed to build your confidence and skills to step into a complex system OD change consultant role.

Target audience

This programme is designed for senior health and care professionals working in a transformational, change and organisational development fashion who are leading or supporting complex system and organisational change. (For example; transformation programmes associated with STP work / system change leaders working across organisations / very senior OD and transformation professionals working in strategic OD etc).

We are currently gathering expressions of interest for cohorts in the East Midlands, West Midlands and East of England.
