This highly participative and interactive day provides coaches with tools and techniques to help their clients deal with the issues related to working as part of a system.
- Individual objectives and learning outcomes
- How we will work together
- Style and format of the day
Working in the system
- 'Flocking' exercise to explore changes and movements in the system
- Exploration of what it feels like when working outside of a familiar structure.
Keeping the organisation in the room
Listening to the level the coachee is speaking from
Stakeholders – who are they and what are their interests and concerns?
- Stakeholder analysis
- Perceptual positions
Creating awareness creatively
Change the medium. When we are thinking about complex situations, we often miss the patterns or connections. Some options for doing this are:
- Drawing the issue
- Use buttons, or cutlery on a table to represent the system
Story telling using archetypes
Stepping into the system from the perspective of a range of ‘characters’ can open a range of possibilities and insights. In the system who are the following?
- The Guardian
- The Gatekeeper
- The Fairygodmother
- The Joker
- The Dragon
- The King
- The Queen
- ……….who is missing?
Review and action planning
- What have I learnt?
- How will I use it?
Please see agenda attached for the running order of the day - please note this is subject to change.
